A 113-acre parcel of undeveloped desert land in Ivins, UT owned by The Utah Schools and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA). SITLA has entered into an agreement with developers to build out this property with a portion of the parcel rezoned for high-density, multifamily residential and another portion rezoned to Resort Commercial which would allow for approximately 250 Short Term Rentals (STRs).

 

Defenders of Greater Ivins (DOGI) believe the development of the SITLA 120 land, as proposed by the developers, is not consistent with responsible economic development, because it diminishes rather than enhances, the health, safety, and quality of life for Ivins’ residents.
